Facebook; the good, the bad, the ugly.

Facebook is a social networking website where users can create a personal profile, connect with other users and exchange messages: automatically, publicly and privately.
The world has become obsessed with facebook. Currently in 2011 there are over 500,000,000 active users, that being one in every thirteen people on earth. 57% of people talk more online, then the do in person. 48% of eighteen to thirty-four years old's check facebook right when they get up. Facebook is a major contributor to why cyber bullying is as bad as it is today, giving users a sense of false privacy- which is exactly the opposite of what it gives us, your posts, comments, tags and photos will no longer be private again, check Google, you may be surprised by the photos that they now posses, they just might be the same one's you posted on Facebook a few months ago.
But Facebook's characteristics aren't all 'bad' and 'ugly' , it can be extremely beneficial if understood, while allowing you to connect to old friends, long lost family members, relatives living far away and of course, new friends.
