Making a Difference.

Making a difference is easier said, then done. Miranda, Cassidy and I chose to learn about and support an organization called One Laptop Per Child. One Laptop Per Child is a non-profit organization that creates laptops for children in third world countries. They create their laptops inexpensively by using the scrap parts of used or broken laptops, using the simplicity to further education the children.
We only had a single month  to raise awareness and funds to help out this cause. In the time that we had, we managed to raise an amount of money to possibly change a child's life. When we started, we had a large vision of what was going to pan out, high expectations that never completely came true. Now I realize if we had more time, more organization and more people, we could have easily pulled of a higher amount of money and gotten more support from our Community. Though, we only made a small amount, it is nothing to dwell on, and we cannot wish we had done better. We were able to accomplish our goal, and make a difference.
